After graduating from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 1980, Ms. Deniz ATAÇ completed non-thesis master's and doctoral studies at Boğaziçi University and Anadolu University.
Working as Treasury and Marketing Manager at Citibank N.A., Banque Indosuez, Credit Lyonnais and Saudi American Bank, Ataç's last position in the finance sector was Vice President of İstanbul Stock Exchange. She acted as the general manager of Ant Gıda A.Ş. and Zepa Pazarlama A.Ş., the production and marketing companies of Fora Zeytin, a subsidiary of Türkiye İş Bankası, for 9 years. In the same period, she served as the President of the Board of the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters' Association for 4 years. She is the first female President of the Board of the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters' Association. She was also named the most successful professional female manager by Dünya newspaper in 2002.
Ms. ATAÇ, who served as the General Manager of TEMA Foundation for a short time between 2008 and 2009, was the Vice President of the Board of Directors as a voluntary activity after March 2009. She was elected as a Member of the Board of Trustees in 2011.
She was a Board Member of the Third Sector Foundation of Türkiye (TÜSEV) between 2014-2016 and the President of the Board of the Third Sector Foundation of Türkiye (TÜSEV) between 2016-2021.
Ms. Ataç continues her duty as the President of the Board of Directors of the TEMA Foundation, which she started at the beginning of 2013.
