After graduating from Harran University in 1995, Assoc. Dr. Ahmet ÇELİK completed his master's degree at the same university in 1997 and his doctorate at Çukurova University in 2012.
He worked in the private sector for 1 year in 1992. He started to work at the Ministry of National Education in 1997. Between 2000-2007, he worked as an honorary lecturer at the Directorate of Kahta Vocational School of Harran University. In 2007, he was appointed as the School Secretary at Adıyaman University Kahta Vocational School. In addition to this duty, he served as the Revolving Fund Operations Manager between 2009-2012. In 2013, he was appointed as Assistant Professor to Adıyaman University Kahta Vocational School (Vocational School) Department of Plant and Animal Production. In 2014, he worked at Adıyaman University Kahta Vocational School for a short time and later as the Deputy Director of the Agricultural Research and Application Center. He started to work at Adıyaman University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Engineering in 2019. In 2020, he received the title of associate professor in the field of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition.
He worked as an executive and assistant researcher in approximately 15 projects supported by the European Union, World Bank, GAP Administration, Çukurova University, Adıyaman University and non-governmental organisations. Assoc. Dr. Ahmet ÇELİK has many national and international articles and papers published on soil mineralogy, soil quality and soil organic carbon.
Since 1994, he has worked as an assistant editor, columnist and section writer in various newspapers and scientific journals. In addition, he prepared research and information supplements for Dünya newspaper.
ÇELİK, who is the TEMA Foundation Adıyaman Provincial Representative and Turkish Soil Science Association Member, has been serving as the TEMA Foundation Adıyaman Provincial Representative since 1995. He is married with 3 children.
